Or perhaps you’ll dive into a bit of regional history and a whole lot of landscaped beauty over at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens or the Deering Estate, or stroll the floral fantasyland of the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.

And then of course there’s Everglades National Park a stone’s throw west and Biscayne National Park just south: places to revel in the original wild beauty of South Florida, a place of orchids and airplants, alligators and anhingas, dolphins and coral reefs, scarlet ibises and royal palms.
