The Top-Quality, Across-the-Board Wine Selection at Mercato Della Pescheria
Wherever your tastes land on the wine spectrum, you’ll find something perfect in the Mercato della Pescheria cellar. Our sommelier chooses our selection based on the quality of the vineyards and the grapes, and how well a wine complements our Italian-inspired cuisine.
Among white (bianc) wines you’ll find some wonderful Italian offerings: a Vermentino from Prelius in Tuscany, for example, and Pinot Grigios from top winemakers in Veneto, Collio, and Alto Adige. But you might also choose a Sauvignon Blanc from Napa, a Burgundy Chablis, or a Pinot Gris from the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range.
In the reds (rosso) department, try one of our Chiantis, Barbarescos, or Super Tuscans, or perhaps a Patagonian Malbec, a Sonoma Cabernet, or a Syrah from Santa Barbara.
As you’d expect, Prosecco and Moscato Asti come well represented on the sparkling menu alongside Champagne.
Happy Hour Wines
Any time you come to Mercato della Pescheria is a good time for a glass of wine, but there’s not a higher-value window than our popular Happy Hour from 3 to 6 PM. Among the offerings are several reds (Nobilissima Chianti, Masi Rosso del Veronese, Zaccagninin Montepulciano d’Abruzzo) and whites (Feudo Zirtari Chardonnay/Inzolia blend, Riff Pinot Grigio, Brancott Sauvignon Blanc, Stellia Di Notte Prosecco) served for an unbeatable $7.
It doesn’t get any better than pairing a Happy Hour glass of wine with a couple of that special menu’s small plates, which include smashed olives tossed in fresh citrus and chili oil, our Seafood Croquetes, our Crispy Calamari, and the Mercato Oyster Plate, among other options.
